Welcome Back to the start of the 2014-2015 school year!

Here are five Tech Tips to help you start the new school year off right!

1. Log Off - Don't Shut Down

At the end of the school day or at the end of a lesson all staff and students are asked to log-off of their computers/laptops, and please not shut down. Why? Read below...

To allow computers/laptops to receive necessary security updates automatically after school the machines will automatically "wake up" after school to receive the updates and then go back to sleep. If a computer misses an update, because it was shut down and not logged off, it will attempt to run an update the next time it is turned on (which could be in the middle of your lesson).

2. Saving Files to the Desktop - Just Don't Do It!

3. Email/Quarantine Summary Report

Has a parent called you saying they've emailed you but you never got the email?
Is a message that you know should be coming in your email get stuck in your quarantine report?
Request a password reset but the email never came through?

All of the above questions lead back to the same place, your Quarantine Summary Report/Message Center.

4. Windows Updates
